What information is required for a social media search?
While there are only a few required pieces of information, we ask that you provide us with as much personal information as you can on your subject. Our team is required to use at least 3 unique identifiers based on the personal information provided to us before positively identifying any social media accounts. Our team uses the information you provide to confirm we are always focusing the search on the correct individual. This helps eliminate all false positives and ensures you are always receiving Accurate Intelligence.
Will the subject know If they are being searched?

We always recommend running a Social Discovery Corp report as quickly as possible for many reasons, particularly to guard against a subject pulling down their information. However, we also understand that depending on the type of case updates need to be run and viewed. Our platform offers you the ability to re-run the report either on the spot or schedule and set dates to re-run the report in increments throughout the year.
Are you violating a person’s privacy if their accounts are set to private?
We only pull publicly available social media data, everything a human eye can view. We do not violate people’s privacy settings. That said, we have methods to obtain publicly available data that no automated solution can deliver.
Does Social Discovery Corp adhere to the FCRA?
Social Discovery Corp is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the guidelines of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). None of the information provided by SDC can be used for assessing or evaluating a person's eligibility for employment, housing, insurance, credit or for any other purposes covered under the FCRA.
How long is my data stored in your system?
We keep historical files for 5 years on the system free of charge unless requested to adhere to a different deletion process as stipulated by our customers.
How can your company help find people online?
A lot of times we are approached by companies that do not have the time or don’t want to bother with performing the actual search. When requesting a social media search, we ask you to provide as much information as possible. To properly and quickly identify a person of interest (POI), we triangulate 3 unique identifiers for a positive match. First and last name being one, plus two other identifiers such as location and date of birth. The more information you are able to provide upfront, the faster our team can search and identify your POI, collate the information, build the report, and analyze the results.
What is the turnaround time on a report?
We deliver our reports in a standard 2-3 business days. We also offer expedited guaranteed 24 hour rush service for an additional fee. Every report is time stamped and relevant metadata is captured. We also provide active links within all of our reports to directly link the user to the actual sites.
